2011 Summer Camps

ANNOUNCEMENT: There is still time to sign up for several of our camps.  If you are an individual or coming with a small group of wrestlers, contact us to see if we can set you up to carpool with someone from your general area.


Wrestlers and coaches - We have added an additional camp this year and have put together another exciting line up of clinicians for our 2011 camp season. We have also teamed up with Gear Up America to provide fund raising opportunities  to help you raise funds for camp.

 

If you are you looking for a camp that provides great clinicians, teaching of proven technique, low clinician to wrestler ratios, team building activities, live wrestling opportunities, physical challenges and fun leisure activities, all in an outdoor setting check out the following pages. Are you tired of large camps with so many wrestlers you feel like you aren't given individual attention? Our camps will be limited to a maximum of 50 wrestlers per camp. Nebraska Outdoor Challenge Camps may be just the camp you are looking for this summer!

Mission Statement: To provide a 5-1/2 day intensive resident camp in an outdoor setting on a working ranch. To combine optimum integration of: 1) teaching of wrestling techniques proven successful at the highest levels of competition, 2) to provide combat wrestling opportunities in the form of standard format, takedown and overtime format tournaments, 3) integrate daily physical conditioning sessions including running and our log workout exercises 4) provide team building activities including; obstacle course work, tug of war, canoe race, river nerf-football and a paintball tournament, 5) provide camp counselors from college level wrestling programs, 6) provide leisure activities including; hiking, float trip on Wild and Scenic River, games, campfire cookouts and other activities, 7) integrate group campfire discussions including topics on weight maintenance, mental focusing, match preparation and spiritual life study. Team building activities: Seventeen stage obstacle course run as team, individually and as team relay. Paintball tournament, Mini wrestling tournaments- standard match, takedown and overtime formats. River Nerf-football tournament, Pull-ups to enter dining area canoe race and spider wall challenge. All activities and competitions earn points toward crowning camp Iron Man Team champions.
